Arusha Kings To Feature In National Championships
Arusha Kings are in Tanga to participate in the national basketball championship that will run from March 25 to 31.
The Kings are highly confident after beating Spiders of Majengo 71- 49 on March 21.
Kings’ captain Elia Mwabukusi, bragged his team would bring home a trophy as they did in the 2006 regional competitions.
Mwabukusi, however, complained of lack of strong challenging teams in basketball in Arusha to sharpen their sportsmanship.
He called on Arusha Basketball Association (ARBA) to work out a programme to promote the sport in Arusha.
The Kings received contributions amounting to Tsh.500,000 which Mwabukusi said would suffice their travel and stay in Tanga.
He called on stakeholders in Arusha to maintain the spirit in order to enable more teams to prepare and take part in basketball championships.
